Biography:

Steve “The Spartan” O’Keeffe is a seasoned martial artist who began training in Taekwondo at just nine years old, later adding Boxing and Judo to his toolkit. He dived into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2010 and earned his black belt in 2016, now holding a distinguished 2nd‑degree rank.

As a professional MMA fighter, Steve compiled an impressive 9‑4‑0 record—primarily by submission—and famously challenged a young Conor McGregor in Cage Warriors 45 in 2013. His standout wins include a rear‑naked choke over Artem Lobov and a heel hook submission against Sean Carter.

Steve is not only a fierce competitor; he’s a respected coach. He coached his first BJJ class while still a blue belt in 2011 and has since earned a degree in sports development, using his experience to support youth through sports and community programs
